2009 Wrap Up

We all had such a great time at Happenstance 2009. Every year we are amazed and reminded of the talent that exists in Atlanta. To the musicians who played this year: thank you, thank you, thank you.

A special thanks this year goes to Firehouse Guitars, who provided us with equipment and even handed out gift bags to all of the musicians who played.

Thanks so much to Atlanta Community Food Bank who assisted us with promotion for the event. We can’t wait to give you the money that was raised!

Thunderbox Rehearsal Studios helped out once again this year by providing a practice space for the day. Thanks, Thunderbox!

And, finally, thanks to everyone who came out to support this event. You made it so much fun and we can’t wait to see you again next year!

Happenstance 2009 is Tomorrow

We’re all set to pop for Happenstance 2009. The musicians will be meeting us tomorrow morning, Dec. 12th at the EARL and will meet their bandmates for the day.

The doors will open at 9pm tomorrow night at the EARL. See ya there!

We’re just a few days away from Happenstance 2009! All the final pieces are coming together and it’s looking to be a great night at the EARL.

See ya this Saturday at The EARL! Don’t forget, doors open at 9pm. And if you bring food items, you can get in for $5.

We will be accepting sign ups from musicians for Happenstance 2009 until Thursday, Dec. 3. The lineup will be announced this Friday, Dec. 4th. So, if you are interested in playing this year, now is the time to let us know.

New Site

Well, we’ve finally gotten around to updating the web site over here at Happenstance World Headquarters. We’ve moved to a blog format so that we can communicate more efficiently about happenings as we prepare for future events.

Take a look around and let us know if you see any weirdness.

Believe it or not, work has already begun on Happenstance ‘09 and we’re excited about what’s to come this year. We have some cool new things in the works and can’t wait to share them with you. We’ll be able to reveal them soon, so keep checking back.

As for Happenstance ‘08, it was a rousing success and we all had a great time. We will be posting the recording of last year’s performance to our podcast web site soon. Thanks to all of the musicians who played last year! You all sounded great.
